This project showcases my creative direction for Namib Rage’s 2024 Sound of Summer, an electrifying EDM festival in Namibia. Each year, the festival’s brand undergoes a fresh visual transformation, and for 2024, I took a bold approach with vibrant gradients, putting turquoise—a core element of the Sound of Summer identity—at the forefront. I paired it with bright pinks, layering in complementary hues to amplify the design. All imagery was generated using Midjourney, where I aimed to capture the euphoric essence of the festival through an intimate lens, immersing the audience in a visually uplifting and musically transcendent experience.

I incorporated 3D chrome elements, such as beach umbrellas, orange slices, and beach balls, to preserve the essence of a summer beach festival while embracing the industrial and electric aesthetic of EDM. These chrome elements interact with neon lighting to create a sense of depth and energy. The chrome treatment was also applied to the festival’s logo, giving it a bold, elevated look that resonates with the festival’s futuristic vibe.

For 2024, Sound of Summer has also diversified its value proposition by splitting the festival into multiple exclusive events. Unlike previous years, the festival will no longer offer General Access tickets. Instead, it introduces Experience Passes (VIP) and Platinum Passes (VVIP), giving attendees a more premium and immersive experience. This rebranding reflects the festival’s focus on creating an intimate, high-end atmosphere, emphasizing quality over quantity.
